Caroling was so much fun!

What great memories we have of singing carols together at Graham Oaks, Merrill Gardens (Hudson Bay,) and the Pierce's house. We had a wonderful time singing to Jerrye Milam and watching Matthew Thompson and Bryce Bandy dance with the lady at Merrill Gardens! What a wonderful way to celebrate this time of year.

Ho Ho WHOA!

I want to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas but remind you that Christmas isn't here just yet! We will be having SNL this Sunday night at our house @ 6:00 PM! If your still in town come join us as we get together for our last SNL of 2008.

Fa La La La La La La La La

Christmas Caroling is this Sunday night @ 5:00 PM. We will be together singing at different places until 7:00 PM. We will get to see Jerry and our other shut-ins which will be a joy in itself. We will head to Merrill Gardens, now Horizon Bay, Graham Oaks, and possibly Garden Terrace plus make a few visits to some of our shut-ins that still live at home. Please make plans to come enjoy this holiday event together!

Holiday Events have been a blast!

Well, what a beginning to a holiday season! The Christmas Parade was so much fun and our float was awesome! I know some of you were able to walk or ride with us on the float and if you did we enjoyed laughing and hanging out together while we chased down our float! The Christmas Party was too cool! We had a great turnout and had excellent food to eat while we enjoyed laughing and being together while we opened gifts and stole them from one another! HA! I sure hope you were able to join us for these events. We have had such a great time together!

Follow-Up from Sunday's Lesson

This week it is my prayer that you will find opportunities to be brave and courageous in your faith. Don't be afraid to stand up for what you believe in. Remember from our discussion Sunday morning that you never know when a friend of yours has been waiting and waiting for you to stand up so they can follow. Also, from Sunday night, we are reminded that we have no real need to be recognized by this world. Our reward is the recognition and acceptance of our loving God who is proud of us every day and showers His blessings upon us. We can work all our lives to be accepted by this world and will find that it will soon get us nowhere. God loves you more than you will ever know!

Christmas Party this Sunday night!

Our youth Christmas Party will be this Sunday night at 6:00 PM in The Attic. Remember to bring $3 for pizza and a gift for the gift exchange. The total you can spend on your gift is $15 and the minimum is $5. We will have a wonderful time together hanging out and enjoying the Christmas Spirit.

Happy Turkey Day!

I just wanted to wish a Happy Thanksgiving to all of you! We love you guys so much and we are so thankful for all of you in our youth group. Have a great time with your family and friends this week. Remember there will be no Refresh this Wednesday night but there is a devo here at the building if you are in town. God bless!

Turkey Trot a Big Success

Thank you to all of you who came to serve at this year's Turkey Trot. It is hard to believe that this is the 3rd annual Turkey Trot we have done! What an honor it was to serve meals to others in need during this holiday season. One section of verses comes to mind as I reflect on Sunday night. Matthew Chapter 25 starting in verse 35: For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.' "Then the righteous will answer him, 'Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink? When did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or needing clothes and clothe you? When did we see you sick or in prison and go to visit you?' "The King will reply, 'I tell you the truth, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me.' Wow, can you imagine! We actually had the honor of serving our Lord Jesus Christ Sunday night when we served those families! Praise God! We sure want to mention a special thanks to all who gave toward our meals. What a great event this was. I hope you will remember this holiday season how truly blessed we are. Thank you God!
